St. Elisabeth’s offers a variety of opportunities for Adult Education and Formation throughout the church program year, both through our own programs and in partnership with our Better Together partner churches. Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction (also known as spiritual companionship) is a spiritual practice in which a person is invited to talk about their life and their faith with a companion who is trained in listening. A spiritual direction session is a time set aside to nurture one’s personal and spiritual growth. The spiritual director creates a safe, confidential, and loving space and asks gentle, open-ended questions which encourage reflection and self-awareness. A spiritual director helps their clients to recognize that God is always inviting them into a deeper and more trusting relationship.
Book Group
The St. Elisabeth’s Book Group meets over lunch on the second Tuesday of each month. Book selections span thought-provoking works from literature, philosophy, theater, and social criticism. All are welcome to join, and copies of each month’s book are available in the church office.
